Rima Kallingal bagged the best female actress award for her outstanding performance in '22 Female Kottayam' and 'Nidra' at the State Film Awards for the year 2012 .An eight member jury chaired by I. V. Sasi viewed 84 movies shortlisted for the awards . '22 F Kottayam'deals with the travails of a nurse Tessa (Rima Kallingal),who was victimised for no fault of hers and who takes revenge on her tormentors in a rather unusual manner. Nidra is a Malayalam romantic thriller film directed by Siddharth Bharathan which narrates the sensuous love story of Raju (Siddharth) and Ashwathy (Rima Kallingal).
