Preetha Reddyhas been the Managing Director of Apollo HospitalsEnterprise Ltd., since February 3, 1989. She served as the Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals from 1991 to 1993. She has been instrumental in getting JCI Accreditation for Apollo Hospitals.
Preetha Reddy oversees the operations of 44 Hospitals, 51 Clinics and 400 Pharmacies of the Group in India and other parts of Asia. She is the First Women advisor on Healthcare to the government of India and plays a key role in the Group’s corporate social responsibilities including spearheading SACH (Save a Child’s Heart) aimed at providing economic succour to children from the economically under privileged sections of society. SACH has performed over 2000 free/concessional Cardiac surgeries and screened over 10,000 children from India and several parts of Africa.
Preetha Reddy was awarded the Outstanding Personality Award by the Indian Medical Association in 1999 and received the Good Samaritan Award from the Rotary Club in 1999.
