News Title H1N1: 2 women die in Beed
News Contents Swine flu has claimed the lives of two pregnant women in Beed, taking the H1N1 toll in Marathwada to 34 since the breakout. While eight months� pregnant Seema Kamble (23) died at the Ambajogai Sub-medical Hospital, six months� pregnant Vanita Chavan (26) succumbed to the virus at a government hospital in Beed. Both Kamble and Chavan were tested positive for H1N1 by the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. The family members of both have been hospitalised as a precautionary measure. SS Patil, deputy director, health services, Latur region, said 480 of the 1,15,840 screened in Latur had tested positive for the virus so far. He claimed the situation is under control and the department was prepared to face any eventuality. Indianexpress
